of performing the writing of young authors, we have a
unique window into the dreams, hopes and fears of kids
around the country. One frequent subject of their
stories is dealing with bullying at school. The problem
is epidemic—a recent study indicates that over 160,000
kids stay home from school
on any given day
because of a fear of being bullied.

Brainstormers! has
collected five stories written by kids on the subject of
bullying.
Some are comic, some are serious, but all the stories
show kids that they're not alone in facing this dilemma,
and we give them lots of great advice on what to do and
what not to do when they feel like they're the target of
bullying. There's also some great info for parents and
educators for reducing bullying in their school.
